PTA
This is about parents and staff
coming together to actively support the Drayton Park School community. It’s
about getting to know each other so there’s always a friendly face in the
playground, and working together for the benefit of the children. Teams of
parents organise fundraising and social events, such as jumble sales, car boot
sales, cake sales, quiz nights, sponsored events and our very successful annual
Summer Fair. Money raised at such events pays for music bursaries, soccer
training, the coach for the Year 6 school journey, theatre and storytelling
events, as well as buying extra resources and equipment that would not otherwise
be available. Parents run playground gardening sessions, an organic vegetable
scheme, and write a parents’ newsletter. PTA meetings, open to all parents and
staff, are held about three times per term; look out for dates in newsletters
and on posters. New volunteers are always very welcome – and you can bring your
children with you.
